The Lafayette Society is generously donating the prizes for the Lafayette Open! Prizes include a magnificently framed copy of the Lafayette Statue by local Fayetteville Observer astronomical photographer Johnny Horne. Also being donated for a prize is the book, “Lafayette in America” and it was just published 2-3 years ago. It is the first complete English translation of the extensive diary kept by Lafayette’s secretary during the “grand tour” of America in 1824-25. Lastly, there are 250th Celebration Commemorative mugs. Maybe more to come! |
