Head Coach and Owner

Fencing History and Bio:
Gerhard began fencing in his freshman year at UNC-Chapel Hill.  During his sophomore year, he joined the UNC-Chapel Hill Varsity Fencing team and began training under Fencing Master Dr. Ron C. Miller.
Gerhard has been coaching since 1999 with numerous success with his students including Junior Olympic Qualifiers and Regional Youth Circuit Finalists.  He continues to compete nationally but has fenced internationally, competing in the 2006 Vancouver World Cup.

Gerhard has a B.A. in Physical Education, Exercise and Sports Science.  He has been a middle school Business Technology teacher and recreation center director.  He has also been an Army Reservist, completing his 8 year commitment in 2003.  He is currently a School Liaison Officer for Fort Bragg and the Department of the Army.

He now lives in Fayetteville with his wife (Jennifer), son (Gabriel) and daughters (Grace and Isabelle).

Fencing History and Bio:
Megan Connell has been fencing since 2004. Her fencing instruction came from several coaches in the Maryland Division, both recreational and competitive. She began assistant coaching through parks and recreation in 2008. She is predominately a saber fencer but also serves as a beginners and intermediate foil instructor.

Megan will be coaching beginners and intermediate foil, and will be heading the saber program. She welcomes any questions about new programs starting up at the Academy.

Fencing History and Bio:
John Page fencing experience began in the 1970's at New York University where he was collegiate teammates with Olympian Peter Westbrook.

John provides a wealth of experience and great personal fencing training to the All-American Fencing Academy's fencers.  He provides not only assistant coaching in foil group lessons, but is available for private lessons as well.

Fencing History and Bio:
Brianna Osinski started fencing with the All-American Fencing Academy in 2008.  With a great love for fencing, she quickly progressed to competing in local, regional and national tournaments.  She primarily fences and competes foil, but recreationally learns sabre and occasionally competes in epee.  Brianna is currently a student at Terry Sanford High School is also a marching band member.

Brianna is the main point of contact for the All-American Fencing Academy's visitors and registrations.  Please look for Brianna when you visit the Academy and she can answer any questions you have about fencing!
