Fencing History and Bio:
Gerhard began fencing in his freshman year at UNC-Chapel Hill. During his sophomore year, he joined the UNC-Chapel Hill Varsity Fencing team and began training under Fencing Master Dr. Ron C. Miller.
Gerhard has been coaching since 1999 with numerous success with his students including Junior Olympic Qualifiers and Regional Youth Circuit Finalists. He continues to compete nationally but has fenced internationally, competing in the 2006 Vancouver World Cup and has won several North Carolina Division Championships.
Gerhard has a B.A. in Physical Education, Exercise and Sports Science. He has been a middle school Business Technology teacher and recreation center director. He has also been an Army Reservist, completing his 8 year commitment in 2003. He is currently a School Liaison Officer for Fort Bragg and the Department of the Army.
He now lives in Fayetteville with his wife (Jennifer), sons (Gabriel and Liam) and daughters (Grace and Isabelle). Gabriel has also started to fence with the All-American Fencing Academy.

Fencing History and Bio:
John Page fencing experience began in the 1970's at New York University where he was collegiate teammates with Olympian Peter Westbrook. He was Sectional Champion and earned a B rating during the height of his competition career.
When he began coaching with the All-American Fencing Academy, his spouse, Ines Page, also started fencing and training with the club and competing occasionally.
John provides a wealth of experience and great personal fencing training to the All-American Fencing Academy's fencers. John Page heads up the teen and adult fencing program, but is available for private lessons as well. He's trained many of All-American Fencing Academy's successful teen and adult fencers including UNC-Chapel Hill recruit, Brianna Osinski (class of 2014). John is an avid student of fencing and is enthusiastic about coaching and his students.
Name: Maya Cameron

Fencing History and Bio:
From the first day she held an épée, Maya realized fencing would be a lifelong passion and pursuit. She trained with coach Elliott Chorn, an elite US fencer and product of renowned fencing Master Alex Beguinet (Duke University) and former Olympian Abdel Salem (US Air Force). Maya has competed nationally and internationally; placing top 8 in a North American Cup is among her best results. Maya has enjoyed coaching for nearly a decade and is proud to be the newest addition to All-American Fencing Academy.
Although a fencer by night, Maya is a musician and performance enhancement specialist by day. She earned a B.A. in both piano and French language and literature (Southern Methodist University, 2006) followed by a Master of Music in piano pedagogy (Texas Christian University, 2009). Being a pianist and a competitive athlete afforded Maya the opportunity to experience very different performance domains, which inspired her to pursue a second Master’s degree at TCU. Maya’s research area is performance anxiety in sport and music. In 2011, she earned a Master of Science in Kinesiology (Performance Psychology) and is working toward AASP certification.
Coach Maya resides in Fayetteville with her husband, an Army officer, and an insatiable fetching machine, a German shepherd named Bella.
Name: Sam Moore

Fencing History and Bio:
Coach Sam Moore is not only the teen and adult fencing coach for the All-American Fencing Academy, but he is also the fencing coach for the Sandhills Community College fencing club. Coach Sam come with a wealth of experience and a lifetime of fencing.

Name: Paul Hovey
Weapons Coached: Foil, Epee
Fencing History and Bio:
Paul Hovey started his fencing career at the All-American Fencing Academy under Head Coach Guevarra. He started as a recreational fencer but developed into a strong National fencer and has competed in several North American Cups.
During his time at the All-American Fencing Academy, he has helped it grow into the fencing school it is now, assisting in marketing, coaching and team management. He is currently an NCAA varsity fencer with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Paul Hovey can often be found assisting winter and summer camps for the All-American Fencing Academy and the fencing program on Fort Bragg for SKIESUnlimited. He can coach both foil and epee.
