Parking During Classes and Tournaments

parking

As many of you discovered (and the coaches as well), with the new Fayetteville Woodpeckers baseball team playing games in their new stadium in Downtown Fayetteville, they have designated several parking areas as $10 event parking, notably, the parking that we use right next to the All-American Fencing Academy.

Unfortunately, we are not the only downtown business affected by this and several businesses have already complained to the mayor, city manager, and parking services. Hopefully they find a solution.

In the meantime, the parking that’s still free and available are all the street side parking (if you can find one), or the parking at the courthouse. Fortunately, the courthouse parking is only a block down the street. The parking area is highlighted in green.

As long as the doors are open, you are more than welcome to drop off the kids and bags and have the kids come up to the fencing studio while you park. Same when you are leaving after club, the loading area (non-parking) to the right of our doors can be used as a pick up and drop off point.

I know this isn’t ideal, and the downtown businesses are hoping for a solution.
